Are the Days of Raising Your Hand in Class Over? Quite possibly! While I have not used any of Qwizdom’s hardware or software personally – I do find possible uses of this technology intriguing and would love to hear from anyone who has used it.

This looks great, but expensive. What does it do exactly? Is it a game or a way for students to respond to qustions with answer pads? It seems like a combination of the above and more!

Hi Mark,
I have not tried it yet but heard about it in a Podcast. I was hoping to get some feedback from someone who has had some experience with the program.

We use Qwizdom’s Q4 remotes.
There is a big push in education at the moment for ‘no hands up’ – this is deemed necessary to ensure that the same children don’t always answer the questions and because many children don’t put their hand up. Qwizdom is an obvious answer to this issue, enabling all children to respond all of the time. In addition the fact that the responses are recorded ensures you have a sound record of assessment that can be used to formulate your next steps.
In my school I have a very large group of disaffected Y6 boys and Qwizdom helps them to understand and enjoy learning. I use the remotes as a way of engaging them. They love the games and are more determined to learn their ‘tables’ to succeed!
