Welcome to my blog! My name is Maria. After working for many years as a moderate special needs teacher I have become fascinated with the role of technology in the improvement of student learning. The ways in which teachers teach and students learn are quickly being transformed by an increasing amount of cutting edge technology that is transforming our everyday lives. Computers, SMART Boards, streaming video,web cams, web-based and software programs, all play a role in enabling students to access curriculum in ways that they never could before. It is an exciting time to be in the field of education as it undergoes these transformations in response to these emerging technologies.

Overcoming Obstacles with the Help of Friends

I was visiting the local MSPCA at feeding time. The small goat pictured above tried in vain to squeeze his way in between the sheep to no avail. Finally, he simply jumped up onto the backs of the apathetic sheep and sat there quite happily eating his hay. Problem solved!
